Just Effing Short Scene Competition
2010 April 28
There’s a new short scene competition at Just Effing. If you’re not familiar, you have one page to create a compelling scene while using three assigned words. This time those words are parakeet, waltz and Sumatra.
For the first time, Julie Gray at Just Effing is asking for a $1.25 entry free to compensate for the large number of entries and the time it takes out of her day.
You’ve got to have your entry in by Wednesday, May 5th at 12am PST. Winner gets $25 to Amazon and a fifteen minute phone convo with Julie.

I’m in the top 3 and it’s all… mostly… partly because of you !!! Thank you. I know, you’re thinking what did I do, right? You’re postings and updates make me look around places I don’t know about and for a new writer these things are priceless. So thanks.
Nice! Congrats on being in the top 3!
And I haven’t forgotten about your CS Open entry… sorry it’s taken me a while. I was bombarded last week. I’ll get to it soon!
Ron’s is by far the best, and I’m bitter that mine didn’t get picked. LOL Great job Ron. I voted for you already.
Yours really is the best.
