I’m anxiously tapping my fingers on my desk as I wait to receive a phone call from my wife, who’s going to let me know if she’s ready for us to make a big step in our lives.
We’re deciding whether to accept a counteroffer and possibly purchasing our first house. It seems like the stars have aligned to make this an opportunity, because numerous things have had to come together to put us in this position of possibly owning a property that was out of our reach just a month ago.
I’m ready to pull the trigger. My wife, however, has her foot hovering over the brake.
It’s funny to see our personalities come out as we debate back and forth on this big decision. I’m much more of a “let’s go getter done” person, while my wife likes to take her time with things. Overall, we’ve still got the same things going on in our heads.
Is this the right decision? Are we going to really like it there? How will the change in lifestyle and our current financial liberties going to affect us?
It’s exciting and yet terrifying at the same time. There’s a heavyweight fight going on in my tummy right now.
Gee, I thought you would say you were about to get a baby when I started to read. Relax! A home is just a home. If you don’t like it, change it.
