“Screenwriting U” on a Thursday night.

I spent Thursday evening on the phone, listening to Hal Croasmun of Screenwriting U discuss how to to get an agent and/or manager. Screenwriting U offers a variety of classes, including their popular Pro Series program, but occasionally they will offer free teleseminars.

Getting gouged monthly by AT&T for unlimited minutes finally paid off. The teleseminar was two and a half hours of Hal explaining the differences between managers and agents, as well as laying out a road map to land yourself your own supportive team.

I picked up a number of good tidbits, including the importance of producing quality work worthy of an agent or manager’s time. Thank you to Hal for taking the time out of his evening to lead the free class.
