Thankful Friday 7.27.12

Sorry I’m a day late with this one. Things have been quite busy, per usual.

+ Watched THE OUTSIDERS for the first time.
+ My wife came home one day with flowers.
+ Hit up “Food Truck Thursday” at Splash Pad with my wife and some friends on Thursday. It was freezing. Have to always have layers available in the Bay.
+ I didn’t lose my mind with all of the projects currently in my lap.
+ Watched the Olympic Opening Ceremonies last night with friends.
+ Got a couple of great workouts in.
+ I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such inspiring people. Everyone in my little circle is busy building, both personally and professionally.
+ Our neighbors surprised us with an enormous piece of chocolate cake..
+ I built a DIY planter out of a pallet last weekend. It looks similar to this.
+ We purchased tickets to watch the August 10th Giants vs. Rockies game, where there will be a pre-game celebration for Matt Cain’s perfect game.
+ The official press release announcing the finalists for the San Francisco Film Society/Hearst Screenwriting Grant was sent out this week. My name was on it.
+ Quite bummed that BREAKFAST AT GERARDO’S didn’t make it as a semifinalist in the 2012 Blue Cat Short Screenwriting Competition, but focus is now on producing the project.
+ Yesterday I hopped over to SF to pick up an early release of the Benny Gold X Jansport Mission Backpack. I’m in love with this thing.
