Personal Favorite Album Releases of 2012

Not a “best of” list, as these selections are completely subjective. I don’t understand how one can rank music anyhow. What is presented below are my personal favorite album releases over the past year. It’s not the most eclectic list, as you’ll see it’s extremely hip-hop heavy. However, each of these releases feature artists who are honest and not afraid to put themselves out there, and as a result I found myself personally connected to these projects. They kept finding their way into my CD player or iPod. Speaking of CD’s, over the year I’ve found that instead of purchasing albums via iTunes or Amazon MP3, I’ve been returning to purchasing the physical releases. Let me hold it in my hands! I want to feel the packaging!
